He works at Beijing Chaoyang Hospital, affiliated with Capital Medical University, as the director of hernia and abdominal wall surgery.

Professor Chen Jie has been engaged in clinical, teaching, and research work in the Department of General Surgery at Beijing Chaoyang Hospital. He has accumulated rich experience in the diagnosis and treatment of abdominal hernias, inguinal hernias, incisional hernias, and parastomal hernias. He mainly focuses on the clinical application, promotion, and basic research of tension-free hernia repair, and was the first to perform tension-free hernia repair surgery at Beijing Chaoyang Hospital. He has performed over 35,000 cases of various tension-free hernia repair surgeries, including over 29,000 cases of inguinal hernia repair and over 36,000 cases of incisional hernia, umbilical hernia, parastomal hernia, and pelvic floor hernia surgeries. He has visited hernia training centers in Germany, Belgium, Indonesia, and the United States multiple times to learn tension-free hernia repair techniques and laparoscopic techniques. Currently, he performs 400-600 cases of tension-free hernia repair surgery per month, with an annual surgical volume of around 3,000 cases.< Return
Dr. Chen specializes in hernias and abdominal wall diseases, including various types of abdominal wall hernias, abdominal wall tumors, abdominal wall infections, abdominal wall plastic surgery, inguinal hernias, and umbilical hernias. He performs local anesthesia day surgeries for incisional hernias, stomal hernias, and pelvic floor hernias, as well as complex hernias with complications such as recurrence, infection, and ascites. He provides diagnosis and treatment for difficult patients with these conditions.< Return
